  1. I felt a connection to several things in this story. My late husband had a Cessna 172 before he bought a Bonanza. He was an A&P mechanic so things I learned from him allowed me to follow much of the discussion of the plane modifications. I came to Las Vegas to skate in Ice Fantasy at the Hacienda Hotel about 40 years ago and am still here, but the Hacienda isn't. Mention of the above ground atomic bomb blasts reminds me of later working on data from the tests to see what impact the fallout had on the surrounding areas and people. I worked briefly at Cashman Auto updating people on the status of repairs being done on their cars. Mention of the plane being found at a farm in Carrot River, Saskatchewan, Canada reminded me of living in Saskatchewan for several years as a child. I now live within walking distance of McCarran International Airport, which is soon to be renamed Harry Reid.
